I was led astray by the world, but I always had a calling — a purpose in life. I have always been driven to help those in need, those less fortunate. I was compelled to do so. I thought I did not need God to be good, but since coming to prison and since beginning these Bible studies, I realized that I had been working through God all along, and He through me.
After I read Joseph’s story, and Genesis 50:20 in particular (quoted below), I no longer asked why I am here in prison. Jesus made me live Joseph’s story so I could learn to do good works and fulfill my purpose in life by coming home to Him, my Lord God.
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Crossroads not only helped Jesus reach me and bring me closer to Him, but their Bible studies, artwork, poems, and mentors all helped bring me peace. Through Christ, with the help of Crossroads, I am a better person and am growing in Christ each day. I love being a Christian and I love my Lord, Jesus Christ. Thank you, Crossroads.
