Encouragement From a Student

One of our students sends our mentors a thank you note — and a request for prayer.

Dear Brother or Sister in Christ,

Thank you, thank you so much for the gift of your time, energy, and resources in the act of this awesome ministry. I am always excited to get an envelop dressed from Crossroads because I know it’s going to be good!

I love doing the lessons just as much as I love getting them back. I praise the Lord each time I think of each of you, and I pray the Lord will meet you now — whatever is going on in your life. That you will be encouraged and blessed just as much as each man and woman who receives your response.

I pray God will bless you and make you an encouragement to those your lief touches. 1 Corinthians 3:6 says “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” Thank you for being faithful to water the seed, and we will praise the Lord for the Harvest occurring today.

Could I please ask you to pray? I have learned the true power of prayer. I have even learned that God is willing to listen to my prayers. But if you could join me, I would be grateful.

Please pray for Restoration. That God would bring my wife and four children back to a full relationship with Himself. That God’s grace and mercy would be available to each of us, as well as the full measure of forgiveness that the Cross can provide.

Pray for wisdom for my wife each day she needs to make hard choices. Please pray that God would raise this dead marriage, just as He raised the girl from the dead.

Finally, please pray that the guilt and shame that God used to bring me back to Him would be placed at the foot of the Cross where it belongs. May we have the courage in Deuteronomy 31:6 to face danger and difficulty with firmness. May Jeremiah 29:11 be the word we can cling to.

Please pray for safety — for myself, but also for each of my family. Satan continues to attempt to steal, kill, and destroy. But Genesis 50:20 says “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for Good.” God has a plan that I desire to follow — may He make it clear.

God bless.
